PRODUCTION

The wool used in this hat is collected from local shepherds who shear their sheep and process the wool into felt.  Once the wool has been processed into felt, production on the fedoras begins.  Each piece of wool felt comes in a cone shape which is dyed before it is ready to get worked on.  The process requires the felt cone to be steamed and stretched over a wooden mold over and over again.  Slowly a hat starts to take shape.

Each hat can take up to 40 hours to complete and by the time it is done, it will have been worked on by up to 5 different artisans who specialize on different tasks of the production process.

CARE

These hats are quite durable, but a little TLC will allow this hat to outlast you!  We recommend you brush your hat with a brim brush (a brush with really soft bristles) counter clockwise.  Doing so will remove any dust that has settled on the wool fibers.  You can also get the same results with a damp towel just remember to wipe the hat in a counter clockwise direction.
